Woodend Children's Park Newsletter
26 Oct 09
Our community is working together to build a park of inspiration and discovery.
A meeting place for young and old, locals and visitors. A park to explore, to enjoy, to play.
'My Park' competition winners announced

If you do nothing else today, you must read these.
Students across the region were asked to write about 'My Park'. The winning entries, selected by award winning local writer, Sue Yardley, are sure to brighten your day and lighten your heart. Winning entries will be read by the students at the Ribbon Cutting ceremony tomorrow.

And still they came

It was a dark and stormy day. And still they came. Dark clouds closed in. And still they came. Cold winds blew. And still they came. Rain fell. And still they came.
Sincere thanks to the stalwarts who came on Sunday and worked for up to 9 hours. Expansive new garden beds just appeared. Paths were blasted. Gates were hung.
What a fabulous community. What a fabulous park.
