We are on the home straight but we desperately need your help to finish the park before the opening. As many people as possible are needed to help from 9.30am. BYO rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows. This community day is your chance to help finish this fabulous park. Help barrow and rake softfall & mulch and plant thousands of natives to finish the park. Woodend Lions will be catering a barbeque lunch. Woodend Landcare will be on hand with expertise. We need many many hands to make light work on the day. (Children must be supervised on this day – for safety reasons the play equipment cannot be used until the Park Opening.)

Calling on your carpentry or landscaping skills

Do you have carpentry or landscaping skills? Your help is needed to construct a water tank stand, small retaining walls, a small footbridge and hillside sloping garden beds. Designs are done. Materials can be provided. Can you help with one or more of these projects at the Grand Working Bee or before? We can even provide helpers, but we need your expertise and time as we race towards the finish line.

Woodend is buzzing as people see the park coming together. Sophisticated drainage works are almost complete. Striking BBQ shelters are making a statement. Beautiful new paths are almost complete. Fencing is about to start. And there's much more to come in rapid fire over these final four weeks.
