| It's happening! Project construction steering group |
|
|
|
The Woodend Children's Park is a model of partnership between the community and all levels of government. With the concept design ready and construction fast approaching, a Project Construction Steering Group has been established comprising Macedon Ranges Shire Council officers from Recreation, Maintenance, Infrastructure and Risk Assessment, Director of 2MH Consulting and
Woodend Children's Park representatives including landscape architects, designers, mums and dads. The group will meet every 6 weeks, until the project is completed. |

| BBQ dates - can you help? |

From the outset, street BBQs have provided a fantastic opportunity to talk to the community, to hear 100's of people's ideas and to raise funds to build the park. Can you help out for an hour or two on one of these upcoming dates?

The People and Parks Foundation facilitate programs which connect people to parks. As a vital partner of Woodend Children's Park, People and Parks is receiving public donations for the park and will be involved in ongoing support for the park after it's built. Donations to PPF for Woodend Children's Park of $2 or more are tax deductible.

| Talking Threads mid winter luncheon raised $2,200 |
 |
|
The Talking Threads Luncheon in mid July was thoroughly enjoyed by all and generated $2,200 which will be donated to the park. It was a very warming event bringing the women of the community together. The Woodend Children's Park committee are extremely grateful for the generosity of this community group. Isn't Woodend an amazing community? |
