Merv's Bar & Bistro (formerly Sequoia) recently held a community auction night to raise funds for Woodend Children's Park.

Merv's Bar & Bistro launched an annual community auction night to raise funds for local community groups. This year Merv's generously donated all profits from the auction to Woodend Children's Park and a percentage of the ticket sales.

In an extraordinary example of a local business supporting the local community, Woodend Children’s Park has received a huge boost to their fundraising efforts thanks to the generosity of Merv and his staff at Sequoia.

$15,000 was raised during an auction, making Sequoia a Gold Supporter of the park, with over 80 patrons enjoying the great food and entertainment provided on the night.

Many Macedon Ranges businesses and individuals donated over 30 fantastic items, which local real estate agent Rick Lander auctioned off on the night.

WCP President Kellie Duff said that she was extremely grateful to the team at Sequoia, especially Julie and Louise, for organising this event, and donating the proceeds to the park. The night was a lot of fun, we are amazed and very appreciative of the generosity of the Macedon Ranges people.
