As many people as possible needed to finish the park. BYO wheelbarrows, shovels and rakes. BYO rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows. Woodend Lions will be catering a barbeque lunch. Woodend Landcare will be on hand with expertise. We need many many hands to make light work on the day. |

Woomba Street Festival - Dec 2008
The Woodend Children's Park team had stall at last Saturdays Woomba Street Festival. Thankyou to everyone that supported the park either by buying a paver, t-shirt or raffle ticket or offering your support and positive feedback on the day. The raffle winners have now been drawn. |

Shopping night - Thurs 20 Nov 08- Pre-purchase tickets
Buy a $2 ticket, entitling you to Christmas bargains, specials, refreshments and prizes on the night. All ticket proceeds go towards the building of the park. A wonderful way of bringing the community together for a fabulous cause and support our local Woodend traders.

Melbourne Cup Day BBQ - Tue 4 Nov 08
Cup Day is a busy day at The Vic Hotel. The Vic has generously agreed to allow Woodend Children's Park to run a street BBQ outside the hotel on the day. This promises to be a big fundraiser for Woodend Children's Park. |

Merv's Bar & Bistro Auction Night - Sat 25 Oct 08
Merv's Bar & Bistro (formerly Sequoia) has launched an annual community auction night to raise funds for local community groups. This year Merv's are generously donating all profits from the auction to Woodend Children's Park. |

Gumnutters - Sun 21 September 08
The Gumnutters are back and this year is bigger and better in every way. Spend a day of musical madness in this 1-hour show with local group, the Gumnutters. The Gumnutters are donating their performance payment to local causes including the Children's Park, Toy Library and environmental cause. |
